Hippo Disco Party // Block Party!

I remember this day vividly – sitting in my garage and brainstorming with my friend discussing her upcoming three-year-old’s birthday party. WE LOVE THEMES, can you tell?! The struggle this day was real – her daughter LOVES hippos, ballet, and disco balls but how do we do all of this and make it cute, you know? We kept bouncing potential ideas, when from the dark corner of the garage we heard a voice from a boy we thought had tuned us out. David (my assistant + boyfriend) emerges and says, “Hippo Disco Party. Put pink tutus on hippos.” WOW – ARE YOU KIDDING ME. We inspired him right?
Hippo Disco Party was complete with ALL pink tulips, anemones, roses, and disco balls with lots of streamers + balloons. OH, and a champagne wall. Also, did I mention this party shut down the street? Hope this inspires you to dream big and add disco balls to every party!!
